EKO HOT BLOG reports that the statement affirmed that Senator Mark remains the substantive National Chairman of the party, stressing that there is no plan for his resignation either by him or the leadership of the ADC.
Reports circulating on social media had claimed that David Mark stepped down, with Ralph Nwosu set to lead the party to its convention.
However, the party dismissed the reports as false and malicious, reiterating its focus on upcoming elections.
“The assertion that Senator David Mark has stepped down exists only in the warped imagination of those bent on spreading falsehood and creating confusion within our party,” the statement read.
The party said its leadership remains united and committed to strengthening democratic values while providing credible leadership to Nigerians.
It also warned against attempts to destabilise the party, stating that such efforts are driven by fear of the ADC’s growing influence and evolving political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The ADC, its leadership, and the majority of Nigerians are unbending in their collective determination to resist any plot aimed at undermining Nigeria’s multi-party democracy or imposing a one-party system,” the statement added.

The party urged Nigerians to disregard the rumours and remain confident in its leadership and stability.
