EKO HOT BLOG reports that those affected include former governors John Odigie Oyegun and Osareimen Osunbor, alongside former senators Yisa Braimah and Ehigie Uzamere. Others listed are Nosa Ehima, a former chairman of Oredo Local Government; Sylvester Ewanehi, a past commissioner in the state; Tony Alile, the party’s newly elected state chairman; as well as Jafaru Sumaila, Stella Alli, Igieogbe Asemota, and Christopher Ojeikere, the state publicity secretary.
Factional state chairman Kennedy Odion said the action followed allegations of disobedience to party leadership, anti-party activities, and failure to comply with established directives.
He further accused the affected members of creating parallel party structures and engaging in actions capable of causing confusion and division within the party. According to him, the committee also found that some of the suspended members were affiliated with groups not recognised by the party’s constitution.
As part of the directive, all affected individuals have been barred from attending meetings, participating in party activities, or making decisions on behalf of the party. They are also prohibited from representing the party in any capacity.
The faction instructed all party organs across the state to deny the suspended members recognition and access during the period of the suspension, while local government and ward executives were directed to ensure strict compliance.
Odion added that formal notifications would be issued to the affected individuals, who will appear before the State Disciplinary Committee to respond to the allegations. He noted that they retain the right to appeal the decision within 14 days, with any appeal to be determined within 21 days.

The faction maintained that the suspension takes immediate effect and remains binding on all party structures in the state.
