Confirms Rotimi Amaechi as ADC leader in Rivers State.
Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is determined to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and form Nigeria’s next government in 2027.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Okonkwo said the ADC was building a formidable national structure under its new leadership, stressing that Nigerians would feel the full weight of the party’s strength in the coming years.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that reacting to criticisms of the party’s poor showing in the August 16 by-elections, where it failed to secure any of the 16 contested seats, Okonkwo maintained that those results should not define the party’s future.
“We stand a chance in every election in Nigeria,” he said, insisting that the true test of the party would be in 2027.
He explained that the current leadership under David Mark should not be judged by past results, as the primaries for the by-elections were already concluded before the leadership change.
“The true test of ADC will be in 2027, when our own primaries will produce candidates. That’s when Nigerians will see what we stand for,” he added.
Okonkwo further predicted outright victory for the ADC in the next general election.
“We are going to form the next government in Nigeria. And send Tinubu to Bourdillon,” he declared confidently.
On the party’s growing presence in Rivers State, Okonkwo confirmed that the ADC now has structures across all 36 states of the federation. He also identified former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as the leader of the party in Rivers, describing him as “the obvious party head” in the state.
