Nigerian singer Oluwafemi Oladapo, popularly known as Slimcase, has expressed concern over the growing pressure among Afrobeats artists to release new music frequently.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Slimcase advised Nigerian musicians to take breaks and be like Rihanna, citing their release of “too many songs and albums” as the reason their sound is gradually becoming monotonous.

Slimcase added that releasing music constantly is draining the fun and originality out of Afrobeats.
Meanwhile, singer Omawumi has shared how music producer Cobhams Asuquo helped shape her career. She recalled that Cobhams once called her for a collaboration that unexpectedly became a breakthrough moment.
