Job Description
Benmaris Limited seeks a qualified Air Advisor to oversee aviation safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring aviation operations, conducting audits, and advising on technical aspects of air support.
Key Responsibilities
- Present executive safety reports and issue alerts for major deviations.
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety directives and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct HSE and SQM meetings with contractors to uphold safety standards.
- Participate in safety initiatives and contribute to company-wide awareness programs.
- Investigate aviation incidents, maintain records, and track safety performance.
- Conduct audits, define corrective action plans, and issue quality assurance reports.
- Provide technical expertise in air support operations, including aircraft inspections.
- Collaborate with helicopter operators to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Maintain and update aviation procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company at external aviation forums and liaise with regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an airline captain, pilot, maintenance engineer, or airworthiness manager in civil aviation.
- At least 5 years of experience working in an offshore helicopter company.
- Certified international aviation auditor or graduate of an air safety academy.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian aviation legislation, technical advancements, and industry trends.
- Excellent teamwork, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English and computer literacy.
