A member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Epe Divisional Leader, Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki, popularly known as Bamu, has described the ongoing APC e-registration exercise as a strategic move that will further position the ruling party for success in the 2027 general elections.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Alhaji Bamu, who is also the Apasẹ of Epe Land, made this known during an interview where he spoke extensively on the e-registration exercise, recent developments in Epe Division, and the recognition being accorded him by stakeholders.
Speaking on the e-registration, the APC chieftain expressed satisfaction with the level of participation across Epe, noting that the exercise is receiving massive support from party members and leaders.
“The registration is going on very well, and all of us in Epe have no other political party different from the APC,” he said.
“Our people are out day and night to be part of our great party, and as leaders, we are mobilizing tirelessly to ensure the success of this e-registration. I am very certain that Epe will always be at the forefront of APC.”
He explained that the significance of the e-registration lies in proper documentation and strategic planning ahead of future elections.
“This exercise is very important because it is a membership drive and a way of having a proper database of both old and new members,” Alhaji Bamu stated. “With accurate records, we can plan better for the 2027 general elections, know our strength, protect it, and improve where necessary.”
Reacting to the recent commissioning of projects at Epe Grammar School by the Member of the House of Representatives representing Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wale Raji, where a boys’ hostel was named after him, Alhaji Bamu expressed deep appreciation for the honour.
“I really appreciate the honour of naming the boys’ hostel after me,” he said.
“It shows gratitude and recognition of impact. Hon. Wale Raji is not ungrateful, and his performance has been unprecedented, which is why many have openly endorsed his continuity.”
He also commended other representatives from the division, stressing that their performances have earned them public trust and support.
“All the representatives of government in this division are performing very well, and that is why I support them,” he noted.
“People call them ‘Awon Omo Bamu’ because they are responsible and responsive leaders who always listen and act in the interest of the people.”
On the immortalization drive being planned for him by the Epe Club, Alhaji Bamu described the gesture as humbling and meaningful.
“I am very grateful to Epe Club for this immortalization plan,” he said. “It is better to honour people while they are still alive.
I am proud to be associated with the Premier Club of Epe Division.”
Delivering his New Year message to the people of Epe, the APC leader called for unity, love, and youth empowerment.
“I want us to love one another and be genuinely united,” he said. “Youth empowerment is key, and we will soon engage the youth through vocational training and entrepreneurship
