The lecture took place at the Ogunmodede Club auditorium. Ustadh Miftahudeen Ismail Akorede, widely known as ‘Alfa Simple,’ delivered a lecture centered on the effect of family upbringing on societal development and growth.
Alhaji Ojikutu commented on the profound lessons from the lecture, stating that family is the most important social institution
“The theme of the programme is the effect of family on the society generally.
Actually, I followed the lecturer in toto; in his discussion and all what he had described that affects the society today starts from the family.
“Your conduct within your family, the kind of upbringing you had within the family, takes you to the outside world, and it reflects who you are when you get outside.
“That is exactly what is affecting the society today. The way you are brought up is the way you are going to act in the society.” He added.
When asked about his thoughts and message to the Muslim community amidst the Ramadan season, Alhaji Ojikutu advised all Muslim faithful to continue to abide by their holy conduct even beyond the period of fasting.
“Today is the 22nd day of Ramadan. Ramadan is winding up, our prayer is that, may God spare our lives to complete this one and witness the next one.

“Whatever behavior that we put up with during Ramadan should surpass this period of Ramadan; any good thing we are doing now should surpass this period.
“Such that it wouldn’t look as if during Ramadan I am a very gentle and pious person, then after Ramadan let me continue my old ways. May God spare our lives till the next one.” He concluded.
