Political insiders suggest that the 61-year-old is being considered for a major political role in the next election cycle, although details remain under wraps. According to a source close to the former governor,

“There are ongoing discussions about his political future. Different positions are being mentioned, but it’s clear that it would be a significant one.”

Ambode’s tenure as governor is remembered for transformative infrastructural projects, particularly in transportation, education, and urban development.

Despite his achievements, his attempt to secure a second term was derailed during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in 2018.

His recent activities, however, have not gone unnoticed. “Ambode’s moves are calculated,” noted a political analyst.

“He is re-engaging his support base and demonstrating his ability to connect with the people. This suggests he’s preparing for a strategic re-entry into politics.”

Grassroots members of the APC and political observers have been buzzing about his possible reemergence.

A political commentator, stated, “The former governor’s enduring popularity could serve as a key advantage in the coming elections, especially if he aligns with the right coalition.”
