A 60-year-old American woman, Jacqueline Bolling Elton, has died in Warri, Delta State, while visiting her Nigerian boyfriend, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Elton, who reportedly arrived in Warri on September 15 to spend time with 39-year-old Alawode Olaide, whom she met on social media, was said to have suddenly fallen ill on September 29 around 3:00 p.m.

She was first rushed to a private hospital in Otokutu but was later referred to the Central Hospital, Warri, where doctors confirmed her dead on arrival.
Her remains have been deposited at the Central Hospital Mortuary for autopsy, while police authorities immediately arrested Olaide for interrogation.
The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Delta Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, saying the boyfriend is in custody as investigations continue.
