IPOB members have ‘chased’ Peter Obi, Abaribe, and others from campaign ground as Anambra State prepares for the governorship election.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that scores of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reportedly harassed and ‘chased’ the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, and other members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during a political campaign at Onitsha South.
It was gathered that Peter Obi, a vice-presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2019 general elections, and other ranking members of the opposition party had visited the ‘Ogbo Ogu’ market in Onitsha South to campaign for the party’s candidate in the forthcoming November 6 governorship election, Valentine Ozigbo, when the IPOB members struck.
Eyewitness disclosed that the chants of ‘Nnamdi Kanu is another Saviour’ broke out as the politicians tried to address the traders.

It was further learnt that the politicians, on noticing the chants and agitations had swelled, quickly left the market premises.
This online news platform recalls that the proscribed IPOB has constantly threatened that ‘no elections’ will hold in the Anambra State as the group called on the residents of the state to abandon the governorship poll.
