The Anglican Diocese of Calabar has once again declared its stand against same-s3x marriage and LGBTQ practices, calling them unbiblical.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Rt. Rev. Nneoyi Egbe made this known at a press conference ahead of the 12th Synod session in Calabar, Cross River State.

Speaking on the theme “The Image Which Thou Hast Set Up,” he said the Church’s values remain rooted in Scripture.
He noted that the Church of Nigeria, alongside other GAFCON provinces, has not shifted its position on s3xuality.
“God’s word has not changed, so we won’t change,” Egbe said. “Marriage, by divine design, is for man and woman only.”
He added that the Church doesn’t hate anyone but would not condone s3xual acts that oppose biblical teachings.

Egbe warned that society’s embrace of s3xual liberalism threatens the Church’s core beliefs and future.
The bishop also linked the drop in morals in schools to the government takeover of Church-owned institutions.
He announced that the Church is investing in education again, to instil values in the next generation.
The synod, scheduled for July 16 to 20, will explore ways to defend faith, restore truth, and reshape society.
