The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Local Government Area, Hon. Toyin Gbadamoshi, has called on party leaders and members to close ranks and reunite as one political family ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Gbadamoshi made the call on Thursday, August 13, 2026, during the APC Epe LGA meeting held at the Court Hall, Ita-Opo, Epe, where he urged members to put the differences of the recently concluded primary elections behind them and work collectively for the success of all the party’s candidates.
The LGA Chairman expressed appreciation to party leaders, members, and aspirants for their roles in ensuring peaceful conduct before, during, and after the primaries.
He particularly acknowledged the contributions of the GAC Member and Divisional Leader, Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki (Baba Bamu); GAC Member and Emeritus Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Sabit Ikuforiji; Epe Local Government Chairman, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI; and other party leaders for their support.
Gbadamoshi said the conclusion of the primaries should mark the beginning of a new phase of unity and mobilisation for the party.
He stated, “The primaries have come and gone; and the party’s candidates have emerged. Let us all go and collect our PVCs when the date is announced. The process doesn’t end at registration; we have to go all out and collect the cards. We must mobilise others too to go and get their PVCs.”
He also called on members to work towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while highlighting major infrastructure projects and other government interventions as reasons for continued support.
The APC chairman equally urged members to support the party’s candidates across the various levels of government, including the party’s Lagos State governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Tokunbo Mukhail Abiru, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tasir Wale Raji, and the party’s candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He specifically called for support for Hon. Abiodun Mustain Tobun in Epe Constituency I and Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu in Epe Constituency II.
Representing the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, commended the APC leadership for organising the meeting and called for the immediate commencement of ward meetings to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.
Owolomoshe urged members to abandon divisions created during the primary election period and work under the umbrella of the party.
He said, “Primaries are over, all those different groups should be collapsed by now for the party’s agenda. I don’t believe in such groups and I’m not part of anyone. I believe in the party and I work for the party. So, let’s decide to work for the party by coming together as one big entity before the elections.”
Also speaking, the APC State Welfare Secretary, Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the welfare of its members and encouraged them to remain committed to the party’s programmes and electoral mobilisation.
Earlier, the LGA Secretary, Hon. Ajibola Ajisefini, accredited members ward by ward and welcomed them to the meeting, stressing the readiness of the party leadership to take necessary steps in the interest of the party and its members.
The APC Epe LGA Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Abiodun Olubunmi Kadri, also commended members for their large turnout and peaceful conduct.
She urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards when the process begins and mobilise others to do the same.
She said, “On the day of the elections, they should vote for all the candidates of our great party, APC, and they should also mobilise others to vote for them.”
Kadri further encouraged women in the party not to relent in their contributions, expressing optimism that their dedication would continue to receive recognition.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Mustain Abiodun Tobun (MAT 2027), Alhaji Rabiu Olamilekan, appealed to aspirants from the last primaries, youths, and other party members to work with the party leadership towards victory in 2027.
He particularly cautioned youths against political violence and thuggery, urging them to protect their future by staying away from activities that could jeopardise their aspirations.
He said, “Don’t allow yourselves to be used as political thugs, because your future is very great. Shun every social vice that can hinder you from achieving your goals in life, and distance yourselves from political violence and thuggery.”
The meeting ended with renewed calls for unity, grassroots mobilisation, peaceful political engagement, and coordinated efforts among APC members across Epe Local Government ahead of the 2027 general elections.
