The All Progressives Congress has released the names of House of Representatives aspirants who failed to secure clearance to participate in the party’s National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The list, made public on Saturday, affected aspirants from Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi and Rivers states.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the party, the screening exercise was conducted by designated committees in line with the APC’s approved guidelines and procedures for the primaries.
In Ondo State, several aspirants were affected by the decision. Those listed include Adefisoye Tajudeen from Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Olusegun Victor Ategbole and Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo from Akoko South-East/South-West Federal Constituency, as well as Arowole Ayodeji Samuel from Owo/Ose Federal Constitucy.
Others from Ondo State who were not cleared include Morufu Tosin Ibrahim, Oseni Oyeniyi and Olaleye John Adedipe, all from Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.
In Bauchi State, Bashir Ibrahim Bello from Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency was also listed among the aspirants who did not scale through the screening process.
The ruling party further disqualified Idu Igariwe from Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State and Sanni Salau Ogembe from Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in Kogi State.
In Rivers State, the affected aspirants include retired Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara from Port Harcourt Federal Constituency, Anderson Allison Igbiki from Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency, Awaji Imombek Abirite from Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency and Boma Goodhead from Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.

The APC did not disclose the specific reasons the affected aspirants were denied clearance during the screening exercise.
The development comes as the ruling party intensifies preparations for its primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.
