APC Triumphant In NASS Elections In Lagos, Clears 20 HOR Seats

The All Progressives Congress has emerged quite triumphant in the Lagos State elections contrary to the general believe as they are able to capture the House of Representatives and the National Assembly.

According to the emerging results, they have captured all 20 of the House of Representatives seats.

APC were also able to nab the senatorial seats within the Lagos constituencies.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the National Assembly elections in Lagos, clearing all 20 House of Representatives seats and winning all three senatorial seats.
The APC candidates recorded landslide victories in the state, defeating their opponents from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties.

Former Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Adebule, won the Lagos West senatorial election, polling 361,296 votes to defeat her main challenger of the PDP, Segun Adewale, who scored 248,653 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Lagos West Senatorial District Collation Officer, Prof Solomon Akinboye, expressed satisfaction in the conduct of the election.
The INEC Returning Officer for the Lagos East senatorial election, Prof. Simeon Adebayo Oladipo, declared the APC candidate, Tokunbo Abiru, as the winner. Abiru, the incumbent senator representing the district, polled 178,646 votes to defeat the PDP candidate, Akodada Nicholas Adekunle, who garnered 80,249 votes.
Lagos Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun, defeated PDP’s Gomez Adewale Francis to clinch the Lagos Central Senatorial District. Eshinlokun garnered 131,828 votes, while Francis polled 69,320 votes and OIadeji Blessing Tunde of the Young Progressives Party scored 14, 941 votes to become second runner-up.
The APC also cleared the House of Representatives seats in Lagos, with Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila being elected for the sixth time.
