Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has implored President Muhammadu Buhari to review the security apparatus of Nigeria following continued attacks of Boko Haram insurgents.
Eko Hot Blog had earlier reported that farmers numbering to the tune of 43 were slaughtered by Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, November 28 at Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
Zambarmari is located in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
It was also gathered that the bodies of the slaughtered farmers whose throats were also slit is still been kept by residents of the area who are insisting they won’t be buried until the state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum sees their bodies.

Reacting via his Twitter handle, the former Vice President expressed dismay over the tragic incident, describing it as heartbreaking.
The former presidential candidate condoled with families of the slain farmers in Borno State.
“Heartbreaking. Words fail me. The lives of our citizens should be worth much more than this.
“The rejig of the nation’s security architecture is long overdue.
“May their souls rest in peace and may their families be comforted” Atiku tweeted.
