EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking to journalists in Kano, Illiyasu dismissed the political influence of the duo, insisting that their ambitions are futile.
“Atiku and El-Rufai are only after their personal interests. They lack the political structure to make any real impact in 2027,” he said.
He accused Atiku of hypocrisy, questioning his commitment to good governance while being surrounded by politicians who backed the Buhari administration.
“Nigerians are wondering if Atiku truly believes in good governance when many of his allies were part of Buhari’s eight years of insecurity and economic hardship,” Illiyasu stated.
On El-Rufai, he described the former Kaduna governor as a “political wanderer” with no solid footing.
“El-Rufai is nothing but a nomadic politician, jumping from one party to another. How does he expect to achieve anything by joining the dead-on-arrival Social Democratic Party (SDP)?” he queried.
Illiyasu also mocked the recent political moves of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, alleging that he prioritizes personal gain over public service.
“It is well known that Kwankwaso aligns himself with people in power for his own benefit. That is exactly what he is doing with President Tinubu—sneaking into the Presidency for personal gain, not for the good of his supporters,” he alleged.
He further claimed that both Atiku and Kwankwaso no longer have viable platforms to contest in 2027.

Atiku, El-Rufai Are Self-Centered
“The PDP is in crisis, and Atiku has no real control over it. Kwankwaso, on the other hand, has lost grip on the NNPP after the court ruled in favor of the faction with the ‘fruits’ logo. So where do they stand politically?” he asked.
