On Wednesday night, armed bandits abducted Ishaya Kukah the younger brother of Bishop Hassan Kukah of the Sokoto Diocese, as well as six women from Anchuna village in the Ikulu Chiefdom of the Zangon Kataf local government area, Kaduna State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to a reliable source, the attack sent shockwaves through the community as the assailants, arriving in large numbers, fired sporadically before taking their captives to an unknown destination.

Local resident and family member Mr. Samuel Kukah confirmed the incident, noting that his younger brother, Ishaya, was among those taken. “My brother, Ishaya, is the only male abductee; the rest are women and children.
The attackers launched their assault around 11 p.m.,” he said. He added that there has been no communication from the kidnappers, nor have any ransom demands been made.
Kaduna State police spokesperson DSP Mansir Hassan was unreachable at the time of this report.
