Bello Turji Ready to Surrender as Nigerian Military Weakens His Forces

Musa stated that Turji has been forced to release most of his subordinates after the military eliminated his second in command and several key lieutenants. Despite Turji’s reported desire to surrender, the Defence Chief emphasized that anyone involved in killing innocent civilians, including Turji, must face consequences.
Musa explained the challenges in capturing such terrorists, noting that while they are often within communities, by the time information reaches authorities, the individuals have already moved.

However, he reassured that the military has significantly weakened Turji’s group, adding that the terrorist leader is now seeking to end his involvement.
