EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident reportedly occurred on February 19, 2023, at Tape, an exclusive club in Hanover Square, during the UK leg of Brown’s world tour. Brown and fellow American citizen, Omololu Akinlolu—better known as HoodyBaby—were accused of attacking a man with a bottle during a confrontation inside the club.
According to court documents, the victim was struck with the bottle, chased, punched, and kicked during the altercation.
Appearing before a UK court on Friday, Brown denied fresh charges of causing actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon in public—in this case, a bottle. The singer had earlier pleaded not guilty to a more serious count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
Akinlolu also entered a not guilty plea to the same set of charges.
Brown was arrested in Manchester in May 2025 shortly after arriving in the UK and was held in police custody for several days before being granted bail. He is currently out on £5 million bail and is required to appear in court for all future proceedings or risk forfeiting the full amount.

Despite the ongoing legal battle, Brown has been permitted to continue his international tour, which launched in Amsterdam on June 8. His next court appearance has been scheduled for October 24.
