Coronavirus Lockdown: RRS Wards Off Hoodlum Attack In Oworonshoki
The Rapid Response Squad on Monday warded off a planned attack by some hoodlums against residents of Oworonshoki in Lagos.
The police unit, who gave the update via its Twitter handle, said that it acted on a tip from residents that hoodlums were planning to attack the area.
The tweets read: “Police officers acting on a tip-off from concerned residents got info that some hoodlums were planning to stage an attack against residents of Oworonshoki.

“The youth in the area came out wielding bottles but we got there on time to handle the situation. Normalcy has been restored.
“A good samaritan from the neighbourhood brought some water to help the men cool off while keeping watch. It was very refreshing. We thank you.”
Some residents of Lagos and Ogun states have had sleepless nights from robbery attacks by some gangs in the states, which has led to many communities taking up vigilante duties.
However, ekohotblog reports that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have assured residents to sleep with their eyes closed.
