COVID-19: Buhari Issues New Order To Presidential Taskforce, Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Presidential Task Force to work with the 36 Governors of the Federation in curbing the spread of coronavirus.

This is coming few hours after his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina announced that Buhari will no longer address the nation by 8pm, saying it is only a rumour and should be debunked.

Buhari also said in order for Covid-19 to be defeated, a very strong collaboration and cooperation is needed.

He harped on the need for public education and enlightenment of Nigerians that Coronavirus is real and everyone should stay safe.

“In my meeting with the Governors today, I informed them that I have directed the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 to work very closely with all State Governors. To succeed in containing this pandemic we have to improve collaboration”.

“I also stressed the need for extensive public education and enlightenment. We need to continue to educate and persuade Nigerians to accept the reality of the situation, and do all that is necessary to stay safe”, He said.
