Senator David Umahi, Minister of Works, has instructed the immediate reopening of Lagos’ Independence Bridge to vehicular traffic.

Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, expressed regret for the disruption and appealed for public understanding.

The Federal Ministry of Works has clarified that necessary repairs will be conducted at a later date, with the decision to reopen the bridge in response to commuter feedback.
