Deadly Attack: Russian Strike on Ukrainian Town Leaves Five Dead, 55 Injured

A Russian missile attack on Tuesday killed five civilians, including a pregnant teenager, in the town of Izium, located in Ukraine’s north-eastern Kharkiv region. The attack also left about 55 people injured.
Officials said the missile hit a city council building in the town’s central area, causing serious damage.

The governor of the Kharkiv region, Ole Syniehubov, confirmed that a ballistic missile struck the building. Among those injured were three children, as well as many local government workers and social services staff.
In another attack, Russian shelling also killed two more civilians in different parts of southern Ukraine.
One of the victims was killed in a district east of the major city of Dnipro, according to prosecutors in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region.
Meanwhile, in the Kherson region, another civilian died when Russian forces shelled a town north of the region’s main city, which is also called Kherson. The governor of the region, Oleksandr Prokudin, confirmed this.
