Preliminary findings indicated that Polmi Dauda sustained severe injuries following an altercation near Larema Hotel, where he was employed as a security guard. Despite being rushed to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Investigators believe the altercation may have been triggered by accusations that Dauda had stolen a tenant’s clothes and personal belongings.

The suspects in the case have been identified as Ibrahim Yahaya, a pharmacist at ATBUTH; Musa Awwal, a medical doctor at ATBUTH; Imrana Ibrahim, a local businessman; and Zakariya’u Isah, a fellow security guard.
