As Alhaji Waheed Olabode Garbadeen, fondly known as The Duke of Lagos, marks another year of purposeful living, tributes have poured in from admirers, colleagues, and community leaders across Lagos State celebrating his enduring legacy in media, governance, and humanitarian service.

In his message, he hailed Garbadeen as “a man of distinction, a visionary, and a true bridge-builder.”
“From your pioneering days at Lagos State University to becoming a household name in media and a pillar of humanitarian outreach, your story reflects class, courage, character, and consistency,” Rasaki stated.
Garbadeen, who serves as Director-General of Eternal Care Foundation and formerly held the role of Commissioner III in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, has remained a prominent figure in the community, leveraging platforms like Duke TV to drive societal impact and advocate for good governance.
“You have redefined media influence through Duke TV, touched countless lives through the Eternal Care Foundation, and set high standards during your time in public office,” Rasaki continued.
“You remain a solid pillar in EGOSA and an inspiring light to generations after you.”
He concluded the message with a prayerful wish:
