The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Dr. Akogun Wale Anomo, has inspected the newly completed Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Divisional Headquarters in Odo-Ayandelu ahead of its official commissioning and handover scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the inspection formed part of final preparations for the inauguration of the facility, which was constructed and fully equipped by the council to strengthen security operations and improve public safety across the LCDA.
During the tour, Dr. Anomo assessed the readiness of the divisional headquarters, which has been furnished with modern office furniture, electrical installations, and a generating set to ensure uninterrupted operations. He also test-drove the newly procured patrol vehicle provided by the council to support the operational activities of the NSCDC.
Speaking after the inspection, the council chairman said the project reflects his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the security architecture of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA through strategic investments in security infrastructure.
“Providing a conducive operational environment for our security agencies remains a key priority of this administration. Sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and security, which is why we have ensured that this facility is fully equipped for immediate use,” Anomo said.
He noted that beyond constructing the divisional headquarters, the council deliberately provided the necessary office infrastructure and logistics to enable officers and men of the NSCDC to commence operations immediately after the official handover.
The chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality of work executed on the project and commended the contractors for delivering a facility that meets the required standards.
“We remain committed to implementing projects and programmes that enhance public safety, protect lives and property, and improve the overall well-being of our residents,” he added.
Dr. Anomo was accompanied on the inspection by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Jayesimi Ibraheem, members of the Executive Cabinet, and councillors led by the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Hassan Mustapha.
The commissioning and official handover of the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters is expected to attract government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, and residents, marking another milestone in the administration’s commitment to security and institutional development.
