In a decisive move to enforce traffic regulations and safeguard lives, the leadership of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Tuesday carried out a joint operation targeting one-way offenders along the Epe/Ijebu-Ode Expressway.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the enforcement exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Eredo Local Vigilante Group.
During the operation, 11 motorcycles and one vehicle were apprehended for driving against traffic in clear violation of road safety laws.
Officials confirmed that the impounded motorcycles and vehicle will be moved to the LASTMA yard for further necessary action in accordance with traffic regulations guiding road use in Lagos State.
The Council reiterated its earlier warning that one-way driving is illegal, reckless, and a grave threat to lives and property. Authorities stressed that no destination is worth risking human life and assured residents that enforcement efforts will continue.
Motorists and commercial motorcycle operators were urged to comply strictly with traffic laws, embrace responsible driving habits, and work collectively toward maintaining safety and order on the roads.
Residents were reminded: stay away from one-way driving, drive responsibly, and save lives.
