The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has told a Lagos High Court that it has no documentary or forensic evidence supporting claims that Jude and Paul Okoye withdrew $800,000 belonging to the defunct music group P-Square.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the revelation came during cross-examination in an ongoing case triggered by a 2024 petition from Peter Okoye, who accused his brothers of diverting funds, manipulating share ownership and running multiple undisclosed bank accounts tied to Northside Entertainment Ltd.

EFCC counsel M.K. Bashir told Justice Rahman Oshodi that the commission could not provide proof for the alleged withdrawals or the 47 bank accounts Peter claimed existed.

Peter had earlier testified that he possessed evidence of large withdrawals, but under scrutiny shifted the timeline of the transactions.
The defence challenged his assertions and presented Corporate Affairs Commission records contradicting claims that Jude owned 80 per cent of the company.

Peter explained that he became aware of Northside Entertainment only in 2024 after reviewing documents linked to singer Cynthia Morgan, whose contract was issued under Jude’s company letterhead.
Justice Oshodi adjourned the matter to December 12, 2025, for continuation of trial and arguments on final document production.
