The Eko Club International (ECI) family across the globe has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Olori Titilola Dosunmu, wife of Hon. Prince Adewale Dosunmu, President of Eko Club of Pennsylvania.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Olori Dosunmu suddenly passed away on Friday just a few months after celebrating her 60th birthday.
According to her husband, the couple were at the Ikeja Country Club for their usual evening outing when she apparently choked while eating. Despite immediate CPR efforts and emergency medical intervention, she could not be revived.
Olori Dosunmu is survived by her husband and children.
Beyond her family life, the deceased was a member of Eko Club of Pennsylvania, an active participant in the Eko Club International Women’s Forum, and a Grand Patroness of Eko Club Austin and Eko Club San Antonio, roles that earned her wide respect across the Eko Club network.
Her death, which occurred under unexpected circumstances, has continued to draw an outpouring of tributes from Eko Club chapters, leaders and eminent members at home and in the diaspora.
ECI and its President, Lola Ogbara-Alogba mourn Olori Dosunmu
Announcing her passing, the Lola Ogbara-Alogba-led Eko Club International, through its Public Relations Officer, Tunde Phillips, described the loss as shocking and deeply painful to the global organisation.
“On behalf of the President, Hon. Lola Ogbara-Alogba, and the entire executive council, we regret to announce the shocking and untimely passing of Hon. Olori Titilola Dosunmu, wife of Hon. Adewale Dosunmu of Eko Club of Pennsylvania. May the Almighty grant her eternal rest,” the statement read.
Eko Club London’s tribute
In a condolence message signed by its General Secretary, Moji Bishi, Eko Club London noted that her death has left a void that will be difficult to fill.
“The entire members of Eko Club London extend their deepest condolences to the family of Olori Titilola Dosunmu. May God grant her eternal rest and grant all she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss. Aljannah Firdaus,” the statement said.

Eko Club of New Jersey condoles Adewale Dosunmu
In a statement, the Eko Club of New Jersey sympathised with Olori Dosunmu’s husband and Eko Club of Pennsylvania’s President, Hon. Prince Adewale Dosunmu and their family over the loss.
“Our deepest condolences on the sudden departure of Olori Titilola Dosunmu. May Allah forgive her sins and grant her aljanat firdous,” the club said.
“May you and your family find peace in her memories.”
ECI social secretaries hail Olori Dosunmu for her support
A deeply personal tribute was also conveyed by Hon. Yetunde Konrad on behalf of Dr. Ogbara-Alogba, President of Eko Club International, and members of the Eko Club Social Secretaries, describing the late Dosunmu as a calming presence and a source of wisdom.
“You were more than a friend — you were a confidant, a gentle voice of reason, and a source of warmth and grace on the Eko Club Social Secretary platform and beyond. Your kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.
“You carried yourself with dignity, love, and a heart that always made room for others. Your presence brought comfort, laughter, and reassurance, and your absence will be deeply felt,” the tribute read, while extending condolences to her husband and children.
A collective loss – Otunba T.J. Abass
Adding his voice, Otunba T. J. Abass, a respected elder within the Eko Club community and a former President of the club, described her death as a collective loss.
“Titilola Dosunmu represented the very best of our values; dignity, service and compassion. Her contributions across clubs and forums will not be forgotten. We mourn with the Dosunmu family and pray for strength in this moment of profound grief,” he said.
OJ Lawal hails Dosunmu’s impactful role within ECI
Eko Club International President Emeritus, OJ Lawal, also paid tribute, noting her impactful role within the organisation.
Lawal condoled the Dosunmu family for the irreparable loss and prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
