Among the dignitaries present was the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, who delivered a heartfelt tribute.
She described the late monarch as a father figure and a steadfast pillar of support to her administration.

His departure is a great loss, but we take solace in the impact he made and the values he lived by. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.”

“Kabiyesi was what we fondly called ‘Baba Jeje’—a calm, peaceful, and deeply respected royal father. He was a very close friend of my father during their lifetime, and I saw firsthand the genuine affection and mutual respect they shared. Kabiyesi’s life was marked by quiet strength and dignity.
Lagos State mourns his passing, and we pray that Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest and peace.”
