The week-long event is scheduled to run from Thursday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Laboratory Department of the medical centre. The donation window is open daily between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Although the official campaign kicks off on June 12, the initiative was pre-launched on Saturday, May 31, 2025, by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Branch, whose members turned out in support and made early donations.
Speaking on the essence of the campaign, Mr. Ayanbisi, the Head of the Social Welfare Department at FMC Epe, emphasized the life-saving impact of regular donations.

“We are committed to saving lives every day, and this week-long campaign offers the public a chance to be part of that mission.
Donating blood is safe, simple, and powerful. It takes just a few minutes to give someone a second chance at life.”
One of the pioneer donors and a long-time advocate for youth participation in healthcare, Comrade Ibrahim Adesanya, shared his personal experience.
“Donating blood changed my perspective. I’ve done it multiple times, and each time, I remember that someone, somewhere, is living because I gave. That’s the most rewarding feeling.”
The medical centre’s Blood Transfusion Committee is calling on individuals, schools, religious institutions, and community-based organizations to encourage healthy members to donate.
The hospital assures donors that all health and safety protocols are strictly followed during the exercise.
