In a commendable effort to improve safety and enhance community life, residents of Ajaganabe, Araromi Night Market, Etita (Idi-Aba), Bado-Oke, Iya-Ologi Street, and Imokun have expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Wale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency, for the extension of solar-powered streetlight installations to their neighborhoods.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the latest phase of the initiative, part of Rep. Raji’s ongoing community lighting programme, is strategically aimed at addressing insecurity and poor illumination across inner roads, link routes, and major community centers.

Residents, filled with excitement, described the project as “a breath of fresh air” and “a true sign of good representation.” They explained that areas once hidden in darkness and unsafe at night now enjoy improved visibility and peace.
Local businesses, particularly around Araromi Night Market and Iya-Ologi Street, have also witnessed a surge in evening activities, boosting both safety and commerce.

“Before now, this place used to be very dark and unsafe once it got late,” said a resident. “But now, people stay outside longer, traders feel secure, and our children can play freely.”
The installation has also rekindled social life in the affected communities. Streets that once emptied early are now alive with laughter, small gatherings, and renewed confidence among residents.
During the inspection and media coverage of the newly lit areas, residents commended Rep. Wale Raji for his people-oriented approach to governance.
They also pointed out a few malfunctioning units from earlier installations and appealed for replacements and extensions to other dark spots.
In his response, Rep. Raji thanked the residents for their appreciation and constructive feedback.
