According to the facilitators, the increasing rate of bullying has become a national concern, with noticeable effects on students’ emotional well-being and academic performance.
They emphasized that addressing the issue requires a collective and sustained approach from all stakeholders.
“The trend is disturbing and directly affects learning outcomes,” one of the speakers noted.
The seminar further called on parents, teachers, school administrators, and the community to take active responsibility in creating safer learning environments and ensuring the emotional stability of children and teenagers.
Participants also commended the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), for his recent intervention in the education sector through the employment of additional non-pensionable teachers.
Stakeholders acknowledged that the initiative has contributed significantly to stabilizing teaching and learning across schools in the LCDA.
