Epe LG Chairman Bags Award of Excellence for Outstanding Support to Health Sector

The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, was on Tuesday presented with an Award of Excellence by the Permanent Secretary of Lagos Health District III, Hon. Adeleke Monsurat In recognition of her commitment to the healthcare sector.

Ekohotblog reports that the award presentation took place during a comprehensive health outreach program held in collaboration between Epe Local Government and Lagos State Health District III on the 9th of April, 2025, which featured tuberculosis screening, cervical cancer checks, dental care, and other medical services.

While presenting the award, Hon. Monsurat said:
“This award is a token of our appreciation for Chairman Animashaun’s outstanding and consistent support to the health sector. She has shown exemplary leadership in ensuring that the people of Epe have access to quality healthcare services.”

She further commended the Lagos State Government and the First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, for their efforts in health awareness and their fight against tuberculosis.
