Epe Ulamas Set To Hold 8th Day Fidau For Recently Deceased Islamic Clerics

The families, friends, well-wishers of Alhaji Bashorun Sikiru and Fadeelat Sheik Abdulkabir Ishola Ekemode, two eminent Islamic scholars at the First Epe Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun and Moshalashi Taosiri, who recently passed away are set to hold the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the Clerics.

As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, lightning struck twice in Epe as the two Clerics passed on between Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th May 2021, leaving untold tragedy in it’s wake within a space of 24 hours.

Late Fadelatul Sheikh Alhaji AbdulKabir Ekemode, the Oniwaasi Agba of Epe Kkngdom

Sheikh AbdulKabir Ekemode, before his demise, had been battling an ailment which led to his admission at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.

The accomplished Sheikh, whose enviable Quranic prowess has benefited hundreds of youths in the Epe Kingdom, is reported to have been survived two wives and 7 children.

He was laid to rest according to Islamic rites at his Iraye, off LASU road, residence after his remains were brought home from Lagos.
In attendance was a myriad of family members and friends including the hierarchy of Ulamas from Epe Central Mosque, Ita-Opo led by Alhaji Sheikh Abdul-Lateef Oladapo Ayeogbaro.

Consequently, his 8th Day Fidau prayers, as gathered by Ekohotblog, will hold on Wednesday 19th May 2021 at Ekemode Compound, Oke-Oyinbo.

Similarly, that of Alhaji Sheikh Sikiru Bashorun will hold on Tuesday, 18th May 2021 at either Taosiri Mosque or Edu Compound, Ekohotblog reports.

The celebrated Islamic Cleric in the community was called to glory on Tuesday 11th May 2021, having been on admission at Epe General Hospital for an undisclosed ailment.

Prior to his demise, sources told our correspondent that the Cleric, who mentored dozens of mentees across the length and breadth of Epe through Arabic and Quranic teachings, had a mild accident at home. Reports have it that he lost consciousness and was placed on life support at the said hospital.

Leaving his wife, kids and his adopted children behind, he was buried according to Islamic injunctions at his Iraye-Oke residence, a neighbouring community on the outskirts of Epe.

As customary in the Epe Kingdom, the Salatul-Janazah was held for both Clerics at the prestigious First Epe Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun. This was performed by Alhaji Sheikh Aliru Abiola Sad’Allah, the Grand Chief Imam of Epe Kingdom.
