Hon. Akinloye, while addressing attendees, explained that the lecture was not only to honour his father’s memory but also to uphold the Islamic values he instilled.
“This gathering is not just a tribute to my late father, but a reminder that we are all on a journey through this temporary world.
It’s a call for us to live meaningful lives and make lasting impacts,” he said, expressing gratitude to his predecessors in office, party leaders, clerics, and family for their support and presence.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Zafaran Adeniyi Omotope, Director at Vanguard Academy, who spoke on the theme, “The Temporary Nature of Ad-Duniyah (Worldly Life).”
He urged the audience to reflect on the fleeting nature of existence, cautioning against excessive attachment to wealth and power.
“Life is a test, and it ends in a moment. What we take with us is not status or possessions, but the good deeds we leave behind,” he noted.
Among the notable attendees were Sheikh Abdulwasiu Agbomabiwon, Sheikh Soliu Olanrewaju, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, Hon. Stella Odudolapo, Hon. Fariu Arebi, and Alhaji Waheed Ogunnorin, alongside past and present leaders of Eredo LCDA, all united in a shared moment of remembrance and faith.
The Grand Chief Imam of Epe Division, Fadeelatul Sheikh AbdulRahmon Sadallah Abiola, commended Hon. Akinloye for fostering unity among political leaders and for using his position to promote religious values.
“It is rare to see a serving chairman bring together his predecessors in harmony. Political positions are temporary, unlike religious and traditional leadership. Hon. Akinloye has shown wisdom in bridging gaps,” he remarked.
He offered prayers for Akinloye’s continued success and for the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, acknowledging their efforts in governance.

As Ramadan approaches its end, Hon. Akinloye called on all present to let the lessons from the lecture guide their lives. “Let’s not forget that life is fleeting. The real legacy is how we serve others and honour our faith,” he advised.
The event closed with prayers for the late Alhaji Ismail Muse Aimasiko, with the community collectively seeking Allah’s mercy for him and strength to live righteous lives.
