Addressing the students at the Council Secretariat, Hon. Akinloye spoke from the heart about the essence of leadership, emphasizing that true leadership is a trust from Allah (SWT) and not a result of personal effort or superiority.
“Leadership is not about might or power; it is by the will and decree of Allah (SWT),” Hon. Akinloye stated. “I am not the chairman because I am better than others, but because Allah has destined it.
As the Qur’an says, ‘You give sovereignty to whom You will and take sovereignty from whom You will…’ (Quran 3:26). We must remain humble and grateful.”
The chairman urged the students to seek knowledge with sincerity and purpose, reminding them that the acquisition of knowledge is both a spiritual and moral obligation.
Quoting a prophetic tradition, he said, “The seeking of knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Ibn Majah)
Hon. Akinloye further encouraged the students to embrace discipline, respect, and hard work, describing education as a vital tool for individual growth and community development.
“Education should refine your character and build your fear of Allah. Let honesty, humility, and service be your guiding principles,” he advised.
In appreciation, Dr. Zafaran Adeniyi Temitope commended the chairman’s steadfast support for education and youth empowerment, noting that his administration has been instrumental in creating a nurturing environment for young minds.
“We are grateful for your leadership and dedication to the future of our youth. Your emphasis on both academic excellence and moral uprightness aligns perfectly with our vision at Vanguard Academy,” Dr. Temitope remarked.
The visit concluded with special prayers for Hon. Akinloye and Eredo LCDA, asking Allah (SWT) to continue to guide and bless the leadership, as well as uplift the community in all facets of life.
