A 30-year-old woman has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command following the fatal stabbing of her 18-year-old younger sister during a domestic dispute in the Agege area of Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Security consultant and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, disclosed the arrest in a post shared on his official X account on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at about 8:20 p.m. at No. 22 Anikulapo Street, Pen Cinema area of Agege, and has left residents of the community in shock.
According to information shared by Makama from reliable sources, the altercation involved two sisters, Mary Ibekwe, 30, and Favour Uka, 18. What reportedly began as a disagreement between them escalated into a physical confrontation.
“In the course of the altercation, Mary Ibekwe allegedly stabbed her younger sister on the left side of the chest with a knife,” a source close to the investigation disclosed.

The victim was immediately rushed to Blue Cross Hospital in Ogba for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
Detectives from the Lagos State Police Command visited both the scene of the incident and the hospital, where the body was examined and documented. The remains were later transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, for an autopsy.
Mary Ibekwe was subsequently taken into police custody, while investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident, including the cause of the dispute that led to the fatal stabbing.
The police said further updates would be provided as investigations progress.
