- Family Of Beheaded Oyo Teacher Appeals To Tinubu To Recover Victim’s Body

The family of a kidnapped teacher at Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, late Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the recovery of their son’s body for proper burial.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the appeal was contained in a letter dated May 25, 2026, and signed by the family’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
The letter, titled, “Request for the urgent intervention in the tragic kidnapping, brutal murder and beheading of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, one of the Abducted Teachers of Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State,” was made public on Monday.
The family urged the President to treat the request with urgency and ensure that those behind the killing are brought to justice.
According to the family, the deceased was still in active service before the incident occurred.
Part of the letter read, “We write to formally bring to the attention of His Excellency the tragic kidnapping, brutal murder and beheading of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade One of the Abducted Teachers of Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, by suspected terrorists on the 15th day of May 2026.”
The family described the deceased as a peaceful and hardworking teacher whose life was cut short under tragic circumstances.
The letter added, “It is our clients’ information that late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade was a peaceful and diligent teacher at Community High School, Ohoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, whose life was cruelly and violently cut short under heartbreaking and inhuman circumstances. He is also survived by his wife and two sons, who have been left traumatized by the gruesome manner of his death.”
The family further stated that despite widespread reports surrounding the incident, the remains of the deceased had yet to be recovered.
They appealed to the President to direct security and intelligence agencies to intensify efforts toward locating the victim’s body and rescuing others still being held captive.

The letter stated, “Despite widespread national regarding the death of the late Mr. Oyedokun Michael Olugbade, his remains are yet to be seen or recovered. In this distressing circumstances, we respectfully appeal for Your Excellency’s urgent intervention to direct the relevant security and intelligence agencies towards locating and recovering his body, so that his family maybe afforded the solemn opportunity to conduct a dignified burial and rescue other victims still in captivity.”
