The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, has extended warm greetings to Muslim and Christian faithful in Epe and across Nigeria as the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent commence.

Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released on behalf of the council, the Chairman described the twin spiritual seasons as significant periods of devotion, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to peace and unity within the community.
“Ramadan Kareem to our dear Muslim faithful in Epe Local Government and across Nigeria.”
Hon. Animashaun prayed that the holy month of Ramadan would usher in divine blessings, strengthen faith, and inspire greater love and generosity among residents.

“As this blessed month begins, may Almighty Allah accept our fasts and prayers, strengthen our faith, and fill our homes with peace, joy, and abundant blessings.”
She further noted that Ramadan offers an opportunity for reflection and collective growth, urging residents to embrace values that foster harmony and development.
“May this sacred season deepen our unity and bring greater progress to Epe and beyond.”
Turning to the Christian community, the Chairman also conveyed heartfelt Lenten greetings, describing Lent as a solemn journey of reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal.
“Warm Lenten blessings to our Christian brothers and sisters in Epe and throughout Nigeria.”

She encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in faith and allow the season to nurture compassion and community spirit.
“As we journey through this solemn season of reflection and devotion, may God grant us renewed strength, steadfast faith, and hearts filled with compassion.”
Hon. Animashaun concluded by calling on residents of Epe to use both Ramadan and Lent as opportunities to pray for peace, stability, and sustainable development in the local government and the nation at large.
