Former Aviation Minister Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has accused ex-Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai of posing a potential threat to national security following recent allegations involving National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Eko Hot Blog gathered that Fani-Kayode condemned claims made by El-Rufai in a recent interview, which included allegations that Ribadu’s phone was tapped and that the NSA’s office had imported hazardous chemicals.

Fani-Kayode described El-Rufai’s admissions as highly alarming, warning that publicly claiming to bug the NSA’s phone “constitutes a threat to national security.”
He further stated that such confessions, if true, could make El-Rufai complicit in unlawful activities, saying: “By admitting to exchanging information with them despite acknowledging its illegality, he becomes an accessory to potential crimes.”
The former minister advised political figures to seek justice through appropriate legal channels instead of airing accusations publicly.
“Those confident in their innocence should remain calm, pray, and act with dignity instead of fueling imaginary conspiracies,” Fani-Kayode said.

He also warned that unverified claims of chemical weapons importation could incite public fear and undermine trust in government institutions.
Highlighting El-Rufai’s record in office, Fani-Kayode accused him of contributing to unrest and insecurity in Kaduna State and urged him to “make peace with God” while avoiding statements that could escalate tensions.
“Show respect for yourself and stop acting as an unrepentant agitator. The NSA and the state governor are not at your beck and call,” Fani-Kayode added.
El-Rufai has not yet issued a response to Fani-Kayode’s remarks.
