A 36-year-old man, Fatai Oyedele, was rescued after he attempted to commit suicide at the popular Ogun River in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital today June 24.
According to eyewitnesses, the man arrived at the river at about 1pm today and attempted to plunge into it. He was rescued by men of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of Ogun TRACE Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the married man with five children, said he was frustrated with his life.

He was later taken to the police station in Adigbe
