The Federation of Epe Division Students Association (FEDSA) National Body has joined the global celebration of Father’s Day by paying special tribute to its Patron, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, for his support and commitment to the development of students across Epe Division.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued on behalf of Epe Division students studying in various institutions across Nigeria, the President of FEDSA National, Comrade Asorobi Kazeem, described the Deputy Governor as a mentor, leader, and father figure whose guidance continues to inspire young people within the division.
According to the student leader, the association deemed it necessary to honour the Deputy Governor following his recent acceptance of the Patronship of FEDSA National, a development he described as a major milestone for the organization and students of Epe Division.
“We celebrate you, sir, as our father, patron, and mentor. We also appreciate our council chairmen in Epe Division, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and members of the House of Representatives for their continuous support towards the welfare and development of Epe Division students,” Comrade Asorobi stated.
The Father’s Day celebration comes shortly after FEDSA National formally presented the Patronship of the association to the Deputy Governor during a ceremony attended by student leaders and key stakeholders from Epe Division.
The association noted that the event further strengthened the relationship between the student body and leaders of the division, while reaffirming its commitment to youth development, educational advancement, and community engagement.
FEDSA National also used the occasion to encourage students and youths across Epe Division to actively participate in the democratic process by obtaining their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs).
Emphasizing the importance of civic responsibility, Comrade Asorobi urged young people to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise and position themselves as active contributors to the future of their communities and the nation.
“Your PVC is your voice. It is time to get your PVC and be part of the process that shapes our future,” he said.
The association reaffirmed its dedication to promoting unity among students, fostering leadership development, and supporting initiatives that contribute to the growth and progress of Epe Division.
FEDSA National concluded by extending warm Father’s Day greetings to fathers, guardians, mentors, and father figures, praying for continued strength, wisdom, and success in their respective roles.
