The Federation of Epe Division Students Association (FEDSA National) has strengthened its relationship with the Deputy Governor of Lagos State and APC governorship aspirant, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH), during a strategic engagement aimed at advancing student development and leadership.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the delegation, led by the National President of FEDSA, Comrade Asorobi Damilare Kazeem, alongside the Vice President, Comrade Onoshokun Monsurudeen, members of the National Executive Council, and key stakeholders, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Hamzat.

During the visit, the student body presented the Deputy Governor with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth and student development across Lagos State. FEDSA also formally requested Dr. Hamzat to serve as the Patron of the Association.
In his response, Dr. Hamzat expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him and graciously accepted the request to become the association’s patron. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote student growth, leadership development, and educational advancement.
The Deputy Governor used the occasion to encourage students to embrace responsible unionism and view leadership as a platform for service and societal transformation. He urged student leaders to remain focused, visionary, and committed to using their positions to positively impact their communities and institutions.
According to him, student bodies play a vital role in shaping future leaders and should continue to champion constructive engagement, innovation, and community development.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Comrade Asorobi Damilare Kazeem appreciated Dr. Hamzat for his consistent support for students and youth-oriented programmes. He described the Deputy Governor as a leader whose contributions have continued to inspire young people across Lagos State.
The FEDSA President further reiterated the association’s support for Dr. Hamzat’s governorship aspiration, assuring him of the commitment of students across Epe Division to participate actively in democratic processes and support leadership that prioritises youth development.
The engagement was widely described as productive and impactful, with participants commending the student body for fostering meaningful dialogue and building partnerships that will benefit students across Epe Division.
Observers noted that the meeting further strengthened the relationship between FEDSA National and Dr. Hamzat, creating a platform for future collaboration in the areas of education, leadership development, and youth empowerment.
