Debutant Femi Azeez scored twice as Nigeria’s Nigeria national football team booked a place in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup with a convincing victory over Zimbabwe national football team in London on Tuesday night.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Millwall winger opened the scoring within the first five minutes after finishing clinically to give Nigeria an early lead.
Azeez completed his brace in the 63rd minute to seal an impressive victory for the defending champions on his first appearance for the senior national team.
Nigeria dominated the encounter from start to finish, controlling possession and creating several scoring opportunities while restricting Zimbabwe to very few chances throughout the match.
Head coach Eric Chelle expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly the contribution of the new players introduced during the tournament.
The victory also marked Nigeria’s first win over Zimbabwe in recent meetings between both sides after a series of drawn encounters.
Azeez, who enjoyed an impressive season with Millwall F.C. in the English Championship, further boosted his reputation with his standout performance on the international stage.
