The Federal Government has approved N574m for the insurance of the College of Aviation, Zaria.
The federal government through the Federal Executive Council approved the insurance fee on Wednesday during the council’s meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the Aso Villa.
The Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, confirmed the development to newsmen at the state house shortly after the FEC meeting.
Sirika further revealed that the council also approved another N271m for perimeter fencing of Port Harcourt International Airport, adding that, the fence has been abandoned since 2011.
On the issue of national carrier, the minister noted that Arik Air was not suitable for conversion into a national carrier, adding that, Arik Air business plan was not in conformity with the idea of a national carrier.
