Fireboy explained that navigating romance in the city has influenced both his music and his personal approach to relationships.

He described his experiences as a mix of highs and lows, adding that he often finds balance in romantic connections, particularly under pressure.
“In my song ‘Ashawo,’ I was trying to paint a picture of what dating is like in Lagos, where I live. It’s a mess,” he said. “My relationship is chaotic. But I thrive with girls. When I’m under pressure, I usually find balance in girls.”
The singer has also shared that heartbreak has previously served as a source of inspiration, helping him craft authentic music.

However, in a recent revelation, Fireboy disclosed that he has never experienced a broken heart. He said he had considered opening himself up to the pain of heartbreak, but chose not to after consulting some women.
Speaking on a recent episode of the 90s Baby Show, the 29-year-old explained that heartbreak at this stage could negatively impact both his personal life and his career.
