A man identified as Rossy Omatseye has been brutally killed by the children and friends of his lover in Orerokpe Community, located in the Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the tragic incident occurred on Monday, 10 November, following a heated argument between Omatseye and his lover.

According to local sources, the disagreement quickly escalated and drew the attention of the woman’s children, who, along with their friends, stormed the victim’s residence to confront him.
What began as a domestic dispute reportedly turned violent, as the group allegedly attacked Omatseye with axes and other weapons, killing him on the spot.
In response, the deceased’s family, who hail from Ekpan Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, reportedly mobilised with friends to avenge his death, sparking tension across Orerokpe.
Residents said the situation nearly degenerated into a full-scale clash before the police intervened to restore calm in the area.
While sources confirmed the attack, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has yet to officially comment on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
