Florentino Perez has been re-elected as Real Madrid president, securing a mandate until 2029 after running unopposed in the election.
“With only one candidacy presented, Florentino Perez is proclaimed president of Real Madrid,” the club announced in an official statement on Sunday.

The announcement followed Real Madrid’s dominant 4-1 victory over Las Palmas, which propelled them to the top of La Liga.
Perez, 77, has now gone unchallenged in four consecutive elections (2013, 2017, 2021, and 2025) during his second tenure, which began in 2009. The Spanish businessman first served as Real Madrid president from 2000 to 2006, a period marked by the club’s Galactico era, before stepping down.
