Reacting to the incident via his X account on Tuesday, the singer expressed regret over the outcome, stating that stopping the performance was necessary to protect fans.
Fola acknowledged that reports of injuries were disturbing and emphasised that no show is worth risking lives.
His record label, Dangbana Republik, also issued a statement accepting responsibility for the lapses, admitting that poor crowd control created unsafe conditions.
